Book Review: Escape Under The Forever Sky

One of my all-time favorite books is Escape Under The Forever Sky by Eve Yohalem, based off of a true story. It is about a thirteen-year-old girl named Lucy Hoffman. She is the daughter of the American ambassador to Ethiopia, and lives in a heavily-secured embassy compound in Addis Ababa. Due to all the security, she never gets to go beyond the walls and can only read about the exciting wilderness around her. Until one day, she gets kidnapped and her life is changed.

I enjoyed reading this book because the plot was exciting. It kept me on the edge of my seat and it was full of twists and turns. There were many flashbacks in the plot, which helped the reader understand Lucy’s past and what her life was like. I also liked the main character. She was really brave and she stayed determined throughout the story. I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy suspenseful, adventurous stories.
